Dorothy Garrett

Dorothy May McKinney Garrett born June 20, 1933 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, went home to be with Jesus Jan. 20, 2025 at age 91.

She attended Hamtown School, graduated Fisk in 1952. She married Manual Harp in 1967 and had one daughter Shannon Harp. She enjoyed her life in Kentucky and gave a smile to all who met her. She enjoyed coming home to Missouri to visit family and the little country church she grew up in.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Georgia McKinney; three brothers, Donald, Eugene, Norman; and husbands, Manuel Harp and Johnnie Garrett.

Those left to carry on her memory are her daughter, Shannon; son-in-law, Bruce; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, all residing in Kentucky. Her sister Pansy Elizabeth McKinney Jenkins also remains.
