Kimberly ohnson

Kimberly R. Johnson, 64, of Elgin, Illinois, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Dec. 30, 2024, at Advocate Sherman Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Kim was born Feb. 9, 1960, in Poplar Bluff to Evelyn Johnson. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1978. After high school, she moved to Peoria, Illinois, where she worked at the Grand Victoria Casino. She later transferred to Elgin where she continued to work.

Kim was a loving sister who enjoyed life and spending time with family. She contributes to various charities. Kim is survived by her sister Sharon K. Moss (Mike) and two brothers, Michael E. Johnson and Robert L. Johnson, all of Poplar and a host of nieces nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Johnson; two brothers, Tony Gladney and Reggie Johnson; and sister, Debbie Johnson Blackmon.

She will be dearly missed.
