Donna Kay Crawford, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Donna was born Dec. 18, 1948, to Ronald and Edna (Troy) Cole, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She married Jim Crawford Aug. 21, 1970, in Kennett, Missouri.
Donna touched the lives of hundreds of young people across her 30-year career as a teacher in the Poplar Bluff R-1 School District. She was a proud booster of Show-Me Band and PBHS Girls Volleyball. She was active in Red Hat Society, and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, playing cards, gardening and enjoying her beautiful flower gardens. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Donna is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Jim Crawford; two daughters, Stephanie (Steve) Crawford Lewis and Jamie (Chris) LeGrand; along with numerous extended family, friends, and former students.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sue Carolyn Stewart.
Visitation will be held from 2 -3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, fat Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral will follow beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Byron Beck officiating.
A burial service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Jack Woodfin officiating.
