Reva Jane Freeze, daughter of the late Ira Bowman and Lucy (Frye) Bowman was born July 31, 1933 in Ellsinore, Missouri. She departed this life Feb. 20, 2025 in Ellsinore, Missouri. She had attained the age of 91 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Reva had resided in Ellsinore for most of her life. She was of the Christian faith and was Baptized in 1968. She enjoyed raising her children, cooking, swimming, flowers and square dancing. Reva loved singing and was a Golden Stair Quartet member and the group of singers had made two albums. Reva was strong-willed, a loving wife and mother, and always willing to help others.
On Oct. 27, 1950, she was united in marriage to Orville E. Freeze in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband, Orville Freeze; her children, Kathy (Ron) Carnahan, Janey (Jack) Richmond and Lori Freeze; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Reva was preceded in death by sons, Robert (Bub) Freeze, Sr., Jeffrey Freeze and Quintin Freeze; grandchildren, Derek Freeze, Brittany Freeze and Orin Freeze; three brothers, Merle Bowman, Jack Bowman and Luther Bowman; three sisters; Gladys Miller, Essie Carter and Inez Lunn.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral service being held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Crowley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Henson Cemetery in Ellsinore, Missouri.
