Brenda Kay Resnik, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Jan. 9, 2025, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, surrounded by her family.
Brenda was born May 18, 1954, to Lewis Ellsworth Pratt and Nova Arlene (Sherrill) Pratt in Poplar Bluff. She married Daniel Resnik July 27, 1973, in Poplar Bluff.
Brenda was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing golf, piano, singing, and going on trips with friends and family. She was a member of the Elks Lodge and attended Memorial Baptist Church. Her and Dan are in the Bowling Hall of Fame at the Poplar Bluff Museum. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Dan; daughters, Tricia (Kevin) Franklin, and Heather (Andrew) Barker; grandchildren, Wade King (Mackenzie), Blake King, Cooper Overbey, Claire Overbey, Madigan Franklin, and Cruz Franklin; siblings, Vernon (Darlene) Pratt, Nova Montgomery, Charles (Sue) Pratt, and Barbara Mannon, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Blaich; and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Arlene; in-laws, Syl and Clara Resnik; siblings, Clara Deters, Edward Alonzo Pratt, and Betty Jane Pratt; and brother-in-law, David Resnik.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Charles Pratt officiating. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
