Bernie High School celebrated its best and brightest at the 2025 Winter Homecoming on Fright night.

The freshman candidates for Bernie Homecoming King and Queen were Lynlei Owens and Caiden Vise. Lynlei is the daughter of Jasmine and Andrew Owens. She is involved in volleyball, cheerleading, senior Beta Club and FCs (Family and Consumer Sciences). Caiden is the son of Brittany Hendley and Daryl Vise. He is involved in basketball, senior Beta Club, student council, Gifted Club, and band.

The sophomore candidates for Bernie Homecoming King and Queen were Bree Akins and Hunter Massey. Bree is the daughter of Mary Freeman and Chris Walker. She is involved in senior Beta Club, volleyball, softball, FBA (Future Business Leaders of America) and FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Hunter is the son of Rebecca and Matt Massey. He is involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America), senior Beta Club, cross country, basketball and baseball.
The sophomore candidates for Bernie Homecoming King and Queen were Bree Akins and Hunter Massey. Bree is the daughter of Mary Freeman and Chris Walker. She is involved in senior Beta Club, volleyball, softball, FBA (Future Business Leaders of America) and FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Hunter is the son of Rebecca and Matt Massey. He is involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America), senior Beta Club, cross country, basketball and baseball.
The junior candidates for Bernie Homecoming King and Queen are Tatum Anthony and Brayden Vaughn. Tatum is the daughter of Kelli and Jon Anthony. She is the senior Beta Club historian. She is also involved in volleyball, cheerleading, FBLA, FCCLA, FCS, and yearbook. Brayden is the son of Dawn and Michael Vaughn. He is the FFA treasurer and participates in senior Beta Club, FBLA, and baseball.
The junior candidates for Bernie Homecoming King and Queen are Tatum Anthony and Brayden Vaughn. Tatum is the daughter of Kelli and Jon Anthony. She is the senior Beta Club historian. She is also involved in volleyball, cheerleading, FBLA, FCCLA, FCS, and yearbook. Brayden is the son of Dawn and Michael Vaughn. She is the FBLA secretary, senior Beta Club secretary, and yearbook editor. She is also involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), student council, volleyball, softball and cheerleading. Her future plans are to attend college and major in elementary education. Cade is the son of Casey and Derek Arnold. He is the Area 16 FFA vice president, FFA chapter president, and Student Council vice president. He is also involved in the gifted club, senior Beta Club and FBLA. His future plans are to attend the University of Missouri and receive his bachelor’s degree, then attend the University of Missouri Law School to receive a Juris Doctor.

The flower girl and crown bearer were Elle Stevens and Jaxon Blevins. Elle is the daughter of Tanya and Quinton Stevens. She enjoys playing with her little sister Audrey, and building with Legos — in Elle’s words, the bigger the better. When she grows up, Elle would like to be a photographer or a doctor. Jaxon is the son of Bri and Nolan Blevins. He enjoys cooking with his mom, building things out of boxes, going to church, and playing with his little sister. When he grows up, Jaxon wants to be a PE teacher.

She will then attend Arkansas State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in agriculture studies with the goal of becoming an agriculture loan officer. Jayden is the son of Ginny Robinette. He is currently working at WW Wood.

Bernie High School celebrated its best and brightest at the 2025 Winter Homecoming on Fright night. King and Queen candidates were all heavily involved in school and extracurricular activities, with emphasis on sports, business and agriculture, but seniors Rylie Powell and Cade Arnold took the crowns.
