NAYLOR — A Naylor man was arrested Friday morning after allegedly robbing the Peoples Community Bank, according to Ripley County Sheriff Rad Talbert.

Dalvin Lawrence, 32, of Naylor, was booked into the Ripley County Jail on a charge of first-degree robbery following the 8:45 a.m. incident at the bank on Ripley County Road 142E.

Sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the bank after receiving a report of the robbery. Bank employees recognized Lawrence as a frequent customer, Talbert said.

Cpl. Rich Medley located Lawrence at his residence and arrested him without incident.

According to Talbert, Lawrence did not display a weapon during the robbery but threatened bank tellers, claiming he would stab and kill them. No one was physically harmed, the sheriff said.

“There were no physical incidents at the bank,” Talbert said. “It was just a lot of screaming and yelling.”

All of the money taken in the robbery was recovered, Talbert added.
