Jerry Brooks

Jerry Glen Brooks, 61, of Patterson, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Conway, Arkansas, April 13, 1963, to parents Jones and Donna Kay Brooks. On Sept. 19, 2009, Jerry married Donna Denise Jenkins, and the two shared a loving partnership full of cherished memories.

Jerry was a man of faith and was an active member of Hamtown Church near Poplar Bluff. He had a long career dedicated to helping others, working as a Developmental Assistant for the State of Missouri and caring for those with disabilities for over 15 years through Southeast Missouri Residential Services (SEMORES).

He also drove a bus for Three Rivers Travel. Jerry loved to talk and enjoyed driving, always eager to engage with people and spread cheer. Jerry’s generous spirit and love for others will never be forgotten.

His passing leaves a gap in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness and joy will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered for his unconditional love and the warmth he gave to all with his smile. He was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed.

There was a graveside service held for Jerry at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Mt. View Cemetery at Des Arc.
