Butler County firefighters tackled two weekend fires, one on Red Robin Lane and another in Fisk, causing significant damage.

Butler County firefighters responded to conflagrations on Red Robin Lane on Saturday and in Fisk on Sunday.

At 10:12 p.m. Saturday, six firefighters responded to a fire at a house owned by John Krypciak. They were on the scene for three hours and 45 minutes, and used 6,000 gallons of water,

The Butler County Fire Department then responded at 5:45 p.m. Sunday to a fire in an apartment building at 390 Dale St., Fisk, owned by Nathan and Kristy Wilkerson. Five firefighters battled the fire in apartments E and D for three hours. The fire spread from apartment E to D and caused heavy damages.

No information was available at press time regarding the causes of the fires.
