A massive fire in Puxico, starting at the Midway Restaurant, destroyed an entire block of businesses. Firefighters from multiple towns battled the blaze in freezing conditions.

An early fire alarm at approximately 6 a.m. signaled the fire at the Midway Restaurant in Puxico. The fire spread quickly and ravaged an entire block of buildings that were connected. Fire departments from Bloomield, Dexter, Advance, and Scott City arrived to help battle the blaze in freezing temperatures.
