Three Rivers College recently received an ambulance donation from Butler County EMS to aid current and future students in their education.

The ambulance, a 2017 Ford Transit-250, will be stocked and ready for spring 2025 students taking Emergency Medical Services classes related to paramedic, EMT, fire science and other emergency classes at Three Rivers.

“We are excited for our students to learn in a lifelike, simulated environment,” Three Rivers EMS and Fire Sciences Director/EMS Clinical Coordinator Tami Cunningham said. “Becoming familiar with a limited space and the challenges it can present will help prepare our students for their future careers.”

Three Rivers will also have the ambulance wrapped in a design unique to the College to distinguish it as a training vehicle.

“Butler County EMS is excited to partner with TRC to provide equipment that can improve training and quality of the EMS program graduates,” Butler County EMS Director David Ross said. “These students are tomorrow’s healthcare providers, and it’s great to see such a focus on improving their range of training.”
