Police responded to multiple incidents on Jan. 8, including property damage at J.C. Penny, trespassing on Sanders Street, counterfeit currency at Domino's, and a domestic dispute on Kinzer Street.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to J.C. Penny in reference to property damage. It was reported an unknown subject damaged some vehicles sometime in the month of December.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to the 400 block of Sanders Street in reference to trespassing. Joseph Glass, 55 of Poplar Bluff, was located and taken into custody. He was processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to Domino’s Pizza in reference to a counterfeit bill. It was discovered items were paid for with a counterfeit fifty-dollar bill. The suspect was contacted and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to the 100 block of Main Street in reference to property damage. The victim stated a subject forced entry into the residence and caused damage. There are no suspects at this time.

Melvin B. Brock, 61 of Poplar Bluff, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 8, on a Poplar Bluff Municipal Warrant. Brock was processed and released on bond.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to Academy Sports in reference to shoplifting. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to Northwest Medical Center in reference to a leaving the scene accident. During the day an unknown subject struck the victim’s vehicle and left the scene.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, Jan. 8, to the 600 block of Kinzer Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Both subjects advised it was a verbal dispute and were notified about the Missouri domestic laws. No charges were sought.
