Will Dougherty III is featured alumni author at TRC

Three Rivers College will hold an author talk with TRC alumnus and Three Rivers staff member Will Dougherty III at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Rutland Library.

Dougherty’s book, “The Long-Forgotten Story of Dorothy Pond in Millbury, Massachusetts” invites readers into a world of history that has been long overlooked. Delve deep into the captivating history of Dorothy Pond, revealing how this seemingly quiet spot has shaped the lives and fortunes of Millbury’s residents over the years.

Dougherty is not just a historian by passion, but a dedicated researcher whose journey began with a personal quest to uncover his family’s ancestral roots and their connection to Dorothy Pond, according to a press release from TRC. This book is the result of countless hours of studying local history. It is the untold history of one of the area’s most intriguing landmarks, it said.
