Butler County firefighters stayed busy late Thursday fighting fires in two separate areas of the county. One is being investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshal.
The fire marshal is looking into a fire in a mobile home Thursday at 3218 County Road 628 near Fisk, according to reports.
Butler County firefighters responded at 5:21 p.m. to the structure owned by Marion Hicks.
According to reports, the 10 firefighters spent two hours battling the flames, which heavily damaged the east end of the structure. The crew used four trucks and 2,000 gallons of water.
Firefighters also responded at 7:57 p.m. Thursday to a vehicle fire in the 1300 block of County Road 355 in the Harviell area.
According to reports, the 1993 Peterbilt belonging to Jim Hover sustained damage to the engine and the cab. The four firefighters in two trucks used 600 gallons of water and were at the scene for an hour.
