Firefighters extinguished a structure fire in 22-degree weather Friday morning. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire at 902 Henderson Avenue.

The fire crews from stations 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched to the scene at 10 a.m. Friday and the units had returned to service at 11:39 a.m.

According to Battalion Chief Jeff Hale’s report, “On arrival we found fire on the exterior wall on back of the house. Firefighter Dustin Graves advanced an attack line to the rear of the structure and extinguished the fire. Crews searched the inside of the structure for fire but found nothing.”

Other firefighters are the scene were Justin Moyers, Tyler Daggett, Tyler Gutterman, Travis Taylor,and Jamie Watson. Poplar Bluff Police officers also were on the scene.

The temperatures was 22 degrees.
