Poplar Bluff is once again at the forefront of community-driven initiatives as Ross Stores, Inc. partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America for the 11th annual "Help Local Kids Thrive" fundraiser. From Feb. 8 through March 2, customers at the local Ross Dress for Less store can contribute to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Heartland. The Ross Stores Foundation will match donations up to $500,000, amplifying the impact of each contribution. This initiative supports the Club's Power Hour program, which offers homework assistance and academic resources to the youth in the Heartland.

Matt Young, group senior vice president at Ross Stores, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership. "Ross is proud of our long-standing partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs, and we are excited to host our 11th annual in-store fundraiser to 'Help Local Kids Thrive.' Each year, Ross Stores, the Ross Stores Foundation, our associates, and our generous customers join forces to raise funds for Clubs nationwide and their Power Hour homework help program," Young said.

Power Hour: A Pathway to Success

The Power Hour program, sponsored nationally by Ross, provides a safe environment for kids and teens to complete their homework, either in person or virtually, with the support of Boys & Girls Club staff. Every $5 donation funds half an hour of homework help, while $10 assists a teen with college applications, and $15 provides one and a half hours of science experiments. This program is crucial in helping young people achieve their academic goals and prepare for a successful future.
