An investigation of criminal misconduct with a child that started in March has led to the arrest of a Fenton man.
Dakota Christian Schrieber, 29, of Fenton was arrested Friday, Oct. 4, on the charge of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy with a victim less than 12 years old.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Schrieber had been staying with his girlfriend in Poplar Bluff, and had made alarming statements to her regarding her children while they were in bed together. The girlfriend later asked her daughter, who is less than 12 years of age, if Schrieber had ever done anything that she should be concerned about.
According to the report, the girl stated that Schrieber had made her undress in front of him multiple times and he had also touched her inappropriately.
A forensic interview was conducted with the child after she informed her mother of the situation. During the interview, the girl said Schrieber forced her to perform sex acts on him multiple times. She also explained on more than one occasion, Schrieber had been physically violent with her and had thrown her around.
The affidavit went on to state that officers spoke with the mother again and she informed them that Schrieber had also stated that “he would understand if she wanted him dead.”
When officers made contact with Schrieber, he denied all of the allegations that were made against him.
Schrieber is currently being held without bond at the Butler County jail.
