Mary Jarrett, 91, of Bernie, Missouri, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at Winchester Nursing in Bernie.
Mrs. Jarrett was born Oct. 1, 1932 in Campbell, Missouri, daughter of the late George and Daisy Bell Trout. Mrs. Jarrett was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and friends and telling stories.
On July 30, 1949 , she married Charles William Jarrett. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2006. She is survived by one son, Danny (Sheila) Jarrett of Bernie; two daughters: Susan Varvel of Henderson, TN and Beverly (Jerry Burgener) Phillips of Bernie; one sister, Wanda (Carlos) Welty of Fagus; 20 grandchildren, several great, great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four children, Regina Jenkins, Kay Allison, Loyd and Steve Jarrett; three grandchildren, Mark Phillips, Loyd Jarrett Jr. and David Neal Varvel and three great-grandchildren, and 11 siblings.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders and Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Missouri.
