Contact was made with an employee Thursday, Aug. 15 from MoArk Recovery in reference to a repossessed vehicle. The employee advised they repossessed a vehicle and had possession of it.

Amanda Vinson, 34, Poplar Bluff was arrested Thursday, Aug. 15 for misusing 911. Vinson called 911 four times for a non-emergency issue and would hang up. Vinson was processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Thursday, Aug. 15 to the 600 block of Charles Street in reference to a wellness check. Contact was made with the subject and EMS was requested for an evaluation due to the subject living with a deceased dog for three days.

Officers were flagged down Thursday, Aug. 15 in reference to a set of vehicle keys that were located. The keys were placed into evidence and the owner has not been located at this time.

A traffic stop was conducted Thursday, Aug. 15 on a Chevy Malibu in reference to a headlight out. The driver was issued citations for driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, and no state registration. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Gary Reed, 51, Poplar Bluff was taken into custody Thursday, Aug. 15 for active warrants through the city of Poplar Bluff and Butler County. Reed was processed and lodged in the Butler County Justice Center.

Officers made contact with a subject Thursday, Aug. 15 at Walmart in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim stated they went into Panda Express and upon returning the vehicle was gone. It was later located at Heartland Express.

Officers made contact with a victim at the station Thursday, Aug. 15 in reference to a stolen phone. The victim stated she was at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and her granddaughter had her phone. The victim stated they accidentally left their phone and when they went back for it, it was gone. Security advised a black male picked it up and put it in his back pocket. At this time the suspect has not been identified.

Carl Hiles, 37, Poplar Bluff and Bertha Cundiff, 20, Poplar Bluff were both taken into custody Thursday, Aug. 15 during a traffic stop due to both having active warrants for their arrest. Hiles was also issued citations for no seatbelt, display of unlawful stickers, no state registration, and no proof of insurance. Hiles was processed and lodged in the Butler County Justice Center. Cundiff was processed and released on bond.
