Contact was made Monday, Aug. 12, with a victim at The Manor in reference to a leaving the scene accident. According to the report, an unknown vehicle struck the victim’s car and left the scene without contacting anyone. At this time, no suspects have been identified.

Officers were dispatched Monday, Aug. 12, to West Maud Storage in reference to stealing. The victim stated when they arrived to their storage unit, they noticed everything was missing. The suspects have not been identified, however, there were security cameras pointed towards the storage unit and will be reviewed.

Tyler Johnson, 30, Poplar Bluff was arrested Monday, Aug. 12, on a warrant through the city of Poplar Bluff. Johnson was processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers made contact Monday, Aug. 12, with a victim by phone. The victim stated his property at 1111 Poplar St. was broken into and items stolen. Officers walked through the building and noticed a large amount of damage. At this time, there are no suspects.

The police department was notified Monday, Aug. 12, of a female attempting to purchase a firearm at Academy Sports. The female decided the firearms were too expensive and wanted to purchase a flare gun. The female made statements to an employee stating she wanted to shoot a cop. The female never purchased any weapons.

Officers were dispatched Monday, Aug. 12, to Tobacco and Vape in reference to trespassing. A female was sitting behind the business for a long period of time and refused to leave. She was later trespassed from the property.

Shayla Wood, 23, of Poplar Bluff was taken into custody Monday, Aug. 12, on a federal warrant. Wood was processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Monday, Aug. 12, to the Bluff View Manor Apartments in reference to trespassing. Contact was made with the subject possibly trespassing and was advised not to return to the property.

A victim contacted the department Monday, Aug. 12, wanting to report a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located and contact was made with the subject driving it. It was reported there was a misunderstanding and the vehicle was returned. There are no charges at this time.

Cody Woods, 26, Dexter was taken into custody Monday, Aug. 12, for leaving the scene of an accident. According to the report, Woods struck a vehicle and fled the scene. Witnesses were able to identify the vehicle and locate. Later Woods was contacted and advised he was being chased by someone and they hit him. Woods was taken into custody and lodged in the Butler County jail.
