Koby Hutson, 22, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Saturday, Aug. 10, on a Stoddard County warrant for a traffic offense. Hutson was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Tyler Barnes, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Saturday, Aug. 10, on a City of Poplar Bluff warrant for a traffic offense. Barnes was booked and released on bond.

Officers made contact with a victim Saturday, Aug. 10, at Poplar Bluff Mini Storage about a theft. The victim had multiple items stolen from his unit. There are no suspects at this time.

Officers made contact Saturday, Aug. 10, with employees from the United Gospel Rescue Mission about Brandon Street making threats. Street was located and trespassed from the property.

Officers made contact Saturday, Aug. 10, with a victim in the 700 block of North 10th Street about property damage. The victim had been out of town and when they returned someone had broken out the glass on their front door.

Officers responded Saturday, Aug. 10, to 10 Box about shoplifting. Employees told officers four people came into the store and one male later identified as Jerry Sterling allegedly stole $231 worth of alcohol and left in a red car. Later that day, an officer located the car and the investigation revealed Sterling had been taken to the hospital. Officers made contact with Sterling to identify him as the shoplifter and charges have been sent to the Butler County prosecuting office.

Officers responded Saturday, Aug. 10, to the 700 block of Cynthia Street about a domestic dispute. Contact was made with both parties involved and it was just a verbal argument. Both agreed to separate for the evening.

Brock Hopper, 47, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Saturday, Aug. 10, for allegedly shoplifting at Save-A-Lot. Hopper was located at Casey’s on 53 Highway, where he was arrested. Hopper was booked and released on a summons.

Officers responded Saturday, Aug. 10, to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for an alleged assault. The victim advised Joshua Daniels assaulted her and stole her name badge and fled on foot out of the emergency room. Daniels was located and arrested in the parking lot of Big Whiskey. Daniels was released back to the hospital and charges were sent to the Butler County prosecutor’s office.

Officers responded Saturday, Aug. 10, to Rodgers Theatre about subjects arguing and one was allegedly threatening another with a knife. Officers made contact with Rebecca Wise, 20, of Poplar Bluff, who was placed under arrest after a short struggle with officers, for assault and resisting arrest. While officers were arresting Wise, James Byrd, 41, of Poplar Bluff tried to interfere and another short struggle with officers ensued and Byrd was charged with Resisting or interfering with an arrest. Both were lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Saturday, Aug. 10, to Highway 53 in front of the Villa about a motor vehicle crash. Officers made contact with all parties and discovered one of the drivers, Henry Jefferson, 68, of Poplar Bluff, had driving privileges that had been revoked in the state of Missouri. Jefferson was issued a citation and released.
