Barbara Alexander

Barbara Sue Alexander, the daughter of the late Calvin R. Scowden and Wilma J. Ward Scowden, was born Jan. 16, 1944, in Shook, Missouri.

On Dec. 15, 1963, in Lowndes, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dan M. Alexander. He preceded her in death Aug. 25, 2022.

She attended the Southeast Missouri Community Church in Malden, Missouri.

Barb and her husband, Dan, were long time owners of Malden Marble Works of Malden.

Mrs. Alexander died Friday, July 26, 2024, in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Dana Cook; three grandsons, Daniel Crain, Hunter Crain and Kaden Cook; two sisters, Patricia Burkett (Glenn) and Cathryn Bruce (Doyle); several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation was held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with Mr. Randy Moore and Rev. Mark Pickard officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
