Officers were dispatched at approximately 1:15 a.m. Saturday, July 20, to the 700 block of Warren Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The parties were separated for the evening.

Officer conducted a traffic stop at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the intersection of Westwood and Highway 53. BJ Butler, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Butler was transported and lodged at the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 9:50 a.m. Saturday, July 20, to Home Depot in reference to tampering with a motor vehicle. Officers reviewed camera footage of the parking lot and determined the incident occurred elsewhere.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, July 20, to the 700 block of North Seventh Street in reference to a burglary report. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded at approximately 5:14 p.m. Saturday, July 20, to Walmart in reference to stealing. Jason Sweet, 45, of Poplar Bluff was issued a summons for stealing and released from the scene.

Officers responded at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, July 20, to the 700 block of North D Street in reference to harassment. Charges for harassment were forwarded to the Butler County prosecutor’s office for further review.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 20, to the 100 block of Lexington Avenue in reference to a verbal dispute. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the incident turned into a physical altercation. Shawn Eason, 49, of Poplar Bluff, Joe Rulo, 66, of Poplar Bluff, Helen Semande, 27, of Poplar Bluff, and Jamie Vaughn, 31, of Poplar Bluff were all issued summons for affray. Eason was arrested on outstanding warrants and later posted bond.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 10:51 p.m. Saturday, July 20, to Walmart in reference to stealing. Lasean White-Mcintosh, 19, of Poplar Bluff was arrested and charged with stealing and resisting. White-Mcintosh was transported to the Butler County jail, where he was lodged.

Officers responded at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20, to the police department in reference to harassment. Charges for harassment will be sent to the Butler County prosecutor’s office. The reporting party, Mercedes Storme, 20, of Poplar Bluff was arrested on outstanding municipal warrants, before posting bond.
