According to the report, the male poured gas on the female’s car and threatened to burn it. The male also reportedly struck the house with his vehicle. The suspect was not on scene upon officers’ arrival. A probable cause affidavit will be sent to the prosecuting attorney seeking charges.

When trying to stop Tackett, she allegedly refused by backing away. Tackett was taken into custody for resisting arrest and warrants through the city of Poplar Bluff. Tackett was lodged in the Butler County jail.

A traffic stop was conducted Thursday, June 6, on a white Ford Fusion on Highway 53 at Taco Bell due to improper registration. During the stop it was discovered the driver did not have a valid license and the vehicle did not have insurance. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver issued citations.

Officers responded Thursday, June 6 to Whiteley Park in reference to trespassing. Contact was made with two subjects who were advised they were trespassing. One subject identified themselves and the other refused to. The subject was eventually identified as Scott Johnson, 39, Poplar Bluff. Johnson had an active warrant for resisting arrest through the city of Poplar Bluff. Johnson was lodged in the Butler County jail and issued a citation for resisting arrest.

Officers were dispatched Thursday, June 6, to Three Rivers College in reference to harassment. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim. The victim stated they were driving and a blue Toyota Camry sped up so she could not pass. The driver also “brake checked” her several times. The driver pulled alongside her and was screaming. The driver followed her to Three Rivers, where the victim lost sight of the vehicle. Neither the vehicle nor the driver had been identified as of the time of the report.
