Vintage Flair Mercantile and the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning. Owner Sandy Hall hopes to raise awareness of her business’ unique array of services.
Vintage Flair opened in February and is located at 208 N. D Street.
“It’s three in one,” Hall explained, because in addition to the thrift portion, there is now a cafe and mercantile.
The cafe offers daily breakfast specials from 9-11 a.m. and lunch until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The food is available for delivery via DoorDash.
Hall said she added the mercantile section as a supplemental grocery store for East Side residents who do not have a car or access to food besides Dollar General.
“I’m excited to see someone going into this building,” Chamber President Steve Halter said, “I love the concept.”
As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Vintage Flair hosted a barbecue cookout to help raise brand awareness. Hall explained the store is open for shelf and booth rental by resalers and antique dealers.
“We have some very unique treasures,” she stated.
With a diverse variety of items and services, Hall assured there is something for everyone at Vintage Flair Mercantile. She hopes to get the necessary certifications to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefits Transfer funds, but needs more patrons first.
“I think it’s a win-win for a lot of people,” Halter remarked.
The business can be found on eBay, Instagram, and Facebook.
