Pansy Lavern Adams Aldridge, a beloved matriarch, was born July 19, 1930, in Harviell, Missouri. She was the last living child of her father Samuel Adams and Minnie Bell Gooch and grew up alongside her five brothers and five sisters.

On May 1, 1948, Lavern married JC Aldridge. They were together 59 years before he went to be with the Lord and together they raised two children, James Gary Aldridge who also preceded her in passing, and Linda Sharon Cates. Their home was filled with love and laughter.

Lavern pursued a career as a nurse at Doctor’s Hospital. Lavern (Granny) greatly enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, along with raising her farm animals.

Lavern’s greatest legacy lies in the profound impact she had on her family. Over five generations, Lavern’s nurturing spirit and boundless love provided a foundation of strength and resilience for her children and descendants.

Pansy Lavern Aldridge also preceded in passing by one granddaughter Katina Taylor and is survived by her daughter, Linda Sharon Cates; five grandchildren, Terri Aldrich, Gary Lee

Aldridge, Tonya Gunter, James Aldridge, and Tommy Green. She was also survived by

19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by her warmth, love, and kindness.

Visitation for Pansy will from 11 a.m. till noon Monday, June 17, 2024, with the funeral starting at noon all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Three Springs Cemetery near Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
