Nicki Prewitt, 76, of Edwardsville, Illinois, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Anderson Hospital, in Maryville, Illinois.
Ms. Prewitt was born March 29, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, daughter of the late Lawrence “Cotton” and Freota “Freddie” Prewitt. She enjoyed and excelled at sports in her younger years. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1966. She had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and as a counselor for the disabled.
Nicki is survived by three siblings, Kathy (Jim) Sanders of Fisk, Missouri, Larry (Kandace) Prewitt of Springfield, Missouri, and Vicki (Jack) Mayer of Rockport, Missouri; and six nieces and nephews, Jamie Burkhead, Justin Sanders, Elle and Luci Prewitt, Caitlin Mayer, and MacKenzie Cerven.
Graveside memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.
