Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to the 800 block of Poplar Street in reference to property damage. The victim stated someone broke the driver’s side window of his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to the 1100 block of Alice Street in reference to a wellness check. Upon arriving they found a victim lying in the roadway. The victim was intoxicated and appeared to have been physically assaulted. The victim did not want to cooperate with questioning and refused medical attention on scene.

Officers were dispatched pn Sunday, May 5, to the 400 block of Main Street in reference to stealing. The victim stated a subject left in a vehicle with their property inside of it. The victim was unsure if the subjects in the vehicle knew about his property or the money inside of it. The investigation is ongoing.

Cody Greenwood, 32, of Fisk and Katina Thomas, 51, of Poplar Bluff were arrested on Sunday, May 5, during a traffic stop. Both subjects had warrants and were charged on the scene with possession of a controlled substance. They were lodged in the Butler County jail.

A traffic stop was conducted on Sunday, May 5, on a black GMC truck at Jay’s Corner Store, 1040 S. Broadway St., due to expired registration. During the stop, the driver could not produce proof of insurance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to the 1500 block of Woodrow Street in reference to a medical assist. Contact was made with the victim and it appeared they were under the influence of alcohol. The subject was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital for treatment.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to Poplar Bluff Mini Storage, 251 Highway 53, in reference to a burglary. The victim stated someone had entered the storage unit and stolen several items. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Kelondre Herrin, 31, Poplar Bluff was arrested on Sunday, May 5, in the 1900 block of Garfield Street on a municipal warrant. Officers were dispatched to the scene in reference to an assault. Upon arriving it was determined to be a domestic assault, and during the investigation it was advised that Herrin had an active warrant. He released on bond.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to Dollar General at 703 E. Pine St. for shoplifting. Two subjects entered the business and stole several items. Video footage was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to the 800 block of Maud Street in reference to stealing. The victim stated unknown subjects were supposed to help him get his phone working. He gave them the phone and they did not return. The victim stated they did not know the phone number.

Contact was made on Sunday, May 5, with a victim at the front desk of the Poplar Bluff Police Department, 911 Shelby Rd., in reference to a leaving the scene of an accident. The victim stated they were struck by a vehicle and the vehicle drove off. An area search was conducted around the location of the accident with no success. The driver is unknown at this time.

Kathy Gould, 57, of Poplar Bluff and Robert Gould, 55, of Poplar Bluff were both arrested on Sunday, May 5, in the 600 block of Bartlett Street. Officers responded to the scene in reference to a peace disturbance. During the investigation it was discovered that a resident in the apartment was possibly harassing another tenant and locking them out of the apartment complex. The suspect, later identified as Robert Gould, had several municipal warrants. He refused to answer the door for officers and would not come out. Kathy Gould then arrived but would not allow officers inside or cooperate. She was taken into custody for hindering prosecution, processed and released. Robert Gould was eventually arrested on the warrants and an additional charge of resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to Walmart in reference to an unwanted guest. Contact was made with a subject that was harassing female shoppers and refused to leave. The subject was issued a trespass affidavit and released.

Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 5, to the 1800 block of North Fifth Street in reference to an assault. The victims stated they were struck several times by the suspect, however, they did not want to pursue charges against her. The Missouri domestic assault law was explained to all parties involved.
