University of Missouri Extension horticulture and agronomy specialists invite residents to explore alternative methods of gardening in an in-person program scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, in Van Buren at The Beavers Teeth Axe Throwing Brew & Chew (restaurant).

The cost is $20 per person and lunch will be provided.

Specific topics covered during the program include how to build and use a hydroponic system, low tunnel gardening, the importance of soil fertility and watering, and honeybees.

Whether those interested produce on a commercial or consumer level, this program is an opportunity to learn and ask questions.
