Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to Iowa and Arkansas in reference to an assault. After speaking with several witnesses and a possible victim, it was determined nobody wished to pursue charges.

Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to the 1900 block of South Broadway for trespassing. Contact was made with Joshua Woods, who was sleeping in an abandoned apartment. Woods has previously been trespassed from the building and the property next to it. Woods was taken into custody, processed and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to the Probation and Parole offices for a subject with a warrant. Steven Tyrone Higgins was taken into custody and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A subject came to the front desk Friday, March 15, to report their 2025 sticker was missing from their license plate.

Officers responded Friday, March 15, to the 2400 block of Fair Street in reference to property damage. The victim showed officers a vehicle with the rear window broken. At this time there are no suspects.

Officers went to Comfort Inn on Friday, March 15, in an attempt to locate Donald Malin. Malin had an absconder warrant through Probation and Parole. Contact was made with Malin, where he was taken into custody and later lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. The suspect had left prior to officers’ arrival, however, they were able to identify the suspect from video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing.

Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to the 1100 block of Cole in reference to a drug overdose. The victim was given two doses of Narcan prior to arrival. The victim was breathing but not alert. Once EMS arrived and began to move the victim, he became alert. The victim denied taking any drugs and refused EMS.

Officers were dispatched Friday, March 15, to the 900 block of West Harper in reference to a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers contacted a victim holding a rag over his chest. They tried to make contact with the possible suspect, however, she had a seizure and was unable to talk. Contact was later made with both parties at the hospital. It was discovered there was an argument between the two subjects. The suspect threw a knife striking the victim in the chest. Neither party wished to pursue charges. Both were explained the Missouri Domestic law.

Contact was made Friday, March 15, with Jeffery McLevain at Ninth and Cherry streets in reference to a warrant. Jeffery McLevain was taken into custody and lodged in the Butler County jail.
