Why are you running for the board? I am running for a board position because I strive to try to make the city all that it can be. We have been working for many years to clean up old run down properties. When I vote on issues, I try to make sure it is what is in the best interest for the people of the city and what is financially right for our city. It is a very long and expensive process but we are trying to do them as quickly as possible.
What characteristics would make you a good board member? I have lived here in Qulin most of my life. My parents owned and operated a furniture store for over 25 years, Qulin Discount Furniture. I was involved with the city when we received our grant to replace all the water lines in the city and build a new water tower. I also was involved when the city helped the nutrition center obtain its grant to build its new facility. I was involved in the process when Dollar General decided to build a store in our city. I have worked with many mayors through the years. I hope to continue to work to clean up the city and for it to grow.
No additional questions were answered, including what are the biggest challenges facing the city and how would you address those.
