Poplar Bluff has a new O’Reilly Auto Parts, but the old one is here to stay, according to District Manager Doug Aud.

While the new store is open for business now, the 2875 Oak Grove Road location will host a grand opening event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. The grand opening lasts from March 13-16 with the event on the final day. There will be a cookout, giveaways, and a sale.

Aud confirmed the old location on Westwood Boulevard will remain open. The two stores employ 40 people with 15 new employees at the Oak Grove location.

“Everything is moving to that side of town,” Aud clarified how the new location was chosen.

He asserted the two stores bookend Westwood as the northernmost and southernmost auto parts stores to provide the best coverage and service.

Aud also confirmed the presence of new products at the Oak Grove store and said it, “is loaded with different SKUs,” the old location does not have.

The press release advertised, “With a nearby distribution center, parts that aren’t immediately available in the store typically arrive later that day or the very next day.”

According to the Poplar Bluff Planning and Inspections Department, the new building is 7,150 square feet and cost an estimated $1,116,000 to construct.
