Lynda Presley, 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, Feb. 23, on Ripley County warrant during a traffic stop. Presley was lodged in the Butler County jail ($20,000 cash-only bond).

Dennis Gowen, 52, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, Feb. 23, during a traffice stop. He was charged with stealing after allegedly taking $150 from Menards, located at 3105 Oak Grove Road. Gowen was also charged with driving while revoked and financial responsibility required. He was processed and released. His vehicle was impounded by Rushin’s Towing.

Jessica Sredojevich filed a report on Friday, Feb. 23, at to the front desk of the Poplar Bluff Police Station located at 911 Shelby Road. She stated her medication was lost or stolen while she was away from her apartment. There are no suspects at this time.

Officers responded Friday, Feb. 23, to the Chamber of Commerce 1111 W. Pine St., about a female needing medical assistance. CPR was already started before the officers’ arrival and they took over CPR until EMS arrived. The female was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officers made contact Friday, Feb. 23, with an employee of JC Penny’s at 515 S. Westwood Blvd. about a shoplifting incident that occurred on Feb. 19. The employee advised an unknown male entered the store and concealed items before leaving the store without paying for them.

Officers responded Friday, Feb. 23, to the 1600 block of Seifert Drive about found property. Items were left in an Airbnb, attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The items were seized and placed into evidence.

Jonathon Kimbrough, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, Feb. 23, on an Illinois warrant (no bond) during the investigating of a domestic assault in the 800 block of Poplar Street. They found the victim standing outside her residence holding a paper towel on her nose, which was bleeding from a small laceration. The victim told officers Kimbrough struck her in the face and he was still inside. Officers made contact with Kimbrough and he was placed under arrest. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded Saturday, Feb. 24, to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center E.R., 3100 Oak Grove Road, about an assault. The victim told officers while she was at a party on Mary Street she was assaulted by four to five females. The victim was treated for her injuries and released.

Jonathan Friend, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Saturday, Feb. 24, on a Probation and Parole warrant (no bond). Friend was lodged in the Butler County jail.
