Attendees at the 2024 Ag Connect convention at Three Rivers College experienced learning, networking and fun. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the two day event spans Friday and Saturday at the Bess Activity Center.

Regional vendors such as Black River Outdoors, Grandma Bea’s Natural Products and Greenway set up booths in the gymnasium. Event coordinator and Agriculture Instructor Kathryn Clark was proud to see the convention take place at TRC.

Formerly known as Ag Expo, Clark remembers going to the event when she was a child.

“The event is very important to our community and our farmers. We appreciate our sponsors and the support of our community,” she affirmed.

Clark emphasized the importance of agricultural education and applauded TRC’s growing program. The Friday exposition hosted educational seminars on topics ranging from cow-calf production to a Delta Center crop roundtable. The Saturday event will present vendors, a petting zoo, homesteading workshops, and gardening advice.

Outside, attendees can view tractors and other agricultural implements.

“It’s a wonderful event,” said Gary Wyman, a retired farmer in attendance.

Tickets are $5 per day, students and children get in free. Clark hopes to see a large turnout and for Ag Connect to many years into the future.
