Christopher Andrews, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, during a traffic stop on East Pine Street. Andrews was booked in on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on speeding ($222 bond). He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at Christian Automotive at 2235 S. Westwood Blvd. reported at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, fire fighting gear was stolen from a customer’s vehicle while it was parked on their lot.

Debbie Johnson reported at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, $700 cash was taken from her purse at her residence in the 2000 block of Schweitzer Drive.

Officers responded at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, to the 200 block of North Broadway for a person suffering a mental health crisis. The victim was taken to the emergency room for evaluation.

Chelsea Smith, 37, of Poplar Bluff at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, was arrested during a traffic stop on Westwood Boulevard. Smith was booked in on a charge of driving while intoxicated. She was released pending review by the municipal prosecutor.

Derrick Jennings, 52, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, during a traffic stop on Park Street. Jennings was booked in on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

William Tidwell, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, during a traffic stop on Forest Lane. Tidwell was booked in on a charge of driving while suspended and he was released on a criminal summons.

Tara Walford, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:49 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, during a traffic stop on South Broadway. Walford was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on no insurance ($500 bond). She was released on her own recognizance.
