CAMPBELL — A 35-year-old man was killed Wednesday night when he was hit by a SUV while riding his bicycle on Highway 62, four miles southwest of Campbell.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shawn T. Cornman, 35, of St. Francis, Arkansas was riding his bicycle at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday when he was hit in the rear by an eastbound 2019 Dodge Journey operated by Brittney M. Counts, 28, of Piggott, Arkansas.
Cornman was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:57 p.m. by Dunklin County James Powell and his body was taken to Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
Cornman is the 65th fatality in Troop E this year.
