Robert Dodd, 61, of Seguin, Texas, was arrested at 7:21 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the United Gospel Rescue Mission at 400 S. Broadway. Dodd was booked on Wayne County warrants for failure to appear on DWI and an unspecified traffic offense. He was held at the Butler County jail.

Gerald Briggs reported at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, he left a pistol in his room after checking out of the Hampton Inn at 2420 Crestwood Drive. When Briggs realized he left the pistol behind, he called the hotel and was told it was not turned in.

A juvenile student at the high school was found at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in possession of a THC vaping device inside the school. The juvenile fled on foot but was caught outside the building and was taken into custody without further incident. The juvenile was released to a parent at the direction of the juvenile office.

William Million reported at 11:39 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, a backpack with a laptop computer was stolen from his car while it was parked at a residence in the 2600 block of Crestwood Drive.

Charles Bazzell reported at 12:09 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, someone threw eggs at his vehicle while it was parked at his residence in the 700 block of Cynthia Street.

An employee at RNR Tire Express reported at 1:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, a customer stole a set of four tires.

Angela Herrington reported at 1:43 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, someone set fire to a section of the fence on her property in the 800 block of Park Street. The fire department extinguished the fire.

Officers responded at 1:58 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of South B Street. No injury was reported and no charges were filed.
