An employee at Southeast Sign and Graphics at 304 Hazel St. reported at 7:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, someone damaged security cameras and soffit on the outside of their building. The suspect was identified from surveillance video footage and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

An employee at Three Rivers College reported at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, a tan 2004 Ford Explorer was parked blocking the Commercial Driver License practice course. Efforts to contact the owner failed, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Officers responded at 8:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, to a residence in the 2300 block of Eugene Boulevard for a juvenile suffering a mental health crisis. A counselor on scene transported the juvenile to an out-patient facility for evaluation.

Scott Hummell, 40, of Poplar Bluff was detained at 11:32 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Hummell was issued a criminal summons for stealing and he was released at the scene.

Officers responded at 11:34 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, to the intersection of Fair and West Henry streets for a small child found wandering the area wearing only a diaper. The investigation led to a residence in the 800 block of West Victor Street. Inspection of the home revealed unsanitary conditions and two additional small children were living there. The scene and the children were released to a Missouri Children’s Division caseworker.
Jonathan Rogers, 36, of Poplar Bluff, Bobbi Skaggs, 28, of Poplar Bluff, and Vanessa Cross, 57, of Poplar Bluff were issued criminal summons for endangering the welfare of a child and released at the scene.

An employee at Municipal Utilities reported at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, electric boxes on a building in the 200 block of South Main Street were damaged.

Freeman Williams, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at a residence in the 1500 block of Haven Hills Road. Williams was booked on charges of third-domestic assault and second-degree property damage, and a United States Marshals Service warrant for probation violation. Williams was held at the Butler County jail.
