An employee at Municipal Utilities reported at 10:41 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, someone stole copper wire from a transformer in the 100 block of Elm Street.

A staff member at Poplar Bluff Junior High reported at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, a juvenile male student assaulted another juvenile male student on school grounds the day before. No injury was reported and the school took disciplinary action against the suspect. This matter was referred to the juvenile office.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High reported at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, a THC vaping device was confiscated from a juvenile student on school property. The vaping device was seized and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Officers responded at 2:36 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, to the emergency room at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for a patient suffering a mental health crisis. The officers spoke with the patient and convinced them to cooperate with medical staff.

Odessa Lee reported at 3:49 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, a pistol was missing from her residence in the 100 block of South C Street.

A homemade trailer was turned in at the police department at 4:49 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, by a passerby who found it abandoned in the roadway. The trailer will be held until claimed by its owner.

Louis Buchanan reported at 7:46 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, his bicycle was stolen from his residence in the 400 block of South Seventh Street.

A maroon 2003 Chevrolet Impala was towed from a traffic stop at 10:12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, on North Main Street after it was determined the vehicle was not insured and it was not properly registered. Terrance Clemons, 24, of Poplar Bluff was issued traffic tickets and he was released at the scene.
