A 68-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 7:55 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at the intersection of highways B and AA east of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, a 16-year-old male from Ellsinore was operating a 2012 Dodge Charger northbound when it failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an eastbound 2015 Ford Crown Victoria operated by Zenobia L. McGowan, 37, of Osceola, Arkansas.

A passenger in McGowan’s vehicle, Suzanne M. Tourville, 68, of Fisk was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 37-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 9:34 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, on U.S. Highway 67 one mile west of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Christopher W. Sappington, 37, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when it struck an unoccupied 2017 Chevrolet Cruze in the rear. The Cruze was sitting in the road after it had struck an animal.

Sappington was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Jacobie D. Kitchell, 20, of Piedmont was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in Wayne County on suspicion of DWI, felony possession of a controlled substance and being a minor in possession. He was booked at the Wayne County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Steven M. Clark, 30, of Kennett was arrested at 10:49 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in Dunklin County on suspicion of DWI and failure to drive on the right side of the road resulting in a crash. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail on a 12-hour hold.

Shawnee Ray reported at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, her car was struck while it was parked at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd.

A blue Buick LeSabre abandoned at the intersection of Grand and Garrett streets was towed at 2:55 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, after efforts to contact the owner failed.

The National Instant Background Check System (NICS) reported at 4:41 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, a firearm transfer was denied at Academy Sports at 3095 Oak Grove Road after it was determined the purchaser was a convicted felon.

Howard Blackmon reported at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, his car was struck by a blue four-door passenger vehicle at the intersection of Alice and Davis streets. The suspect vehicle was located, and the driver and vehicle insurance were collected for the accident report.

Austin Rouse, 22, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 6:19 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Toi Freeman reported at 6:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, her truck was stolen from her residence in the 2200 block of Leonard Drive.

Kaylee Amlong reported at 7:13 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, her boyfriend assaulted her at a residence in the 1600 block of Spring Street. The suspect left before the police were notified.

A blue 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was towed from a traffic stop on Maud Street at 12:39 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, after it was determined the vehicle was not insured. Driver Carl Hiles, 36, of Poplar Bluff was issued traffic tickets and released at the scene.

Officers responded at 5:36 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, to a residence in the 800 block of Franklin Street for a domestic disturbance. Vinetia Samel complained Arthur Ward pushed her during an argument at their residence in the 800 block of Franklin Street. Ward was issued a criminal summons for assault and left the residence for the night.

James Law reported at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, tools were stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Kendall Street.

Shae Reece, 25, of Bernie was arrested at 11:19 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Ulta Beauty at 797 N. Westwood Blvd. Reece was booked on a charge of stealing, Dunklin County warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses, and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on four counts of stealing. She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Doris Hill reported at 1:17 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, she left $40 at a self-checkout register. When she returned to the register the money was gone. The theft was captured on video.

Ada Bryant reported at 1:27 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, she exchanged messages online with a person offering to sell a pet monkey. After sending the suspect several payments through cash cards Bryant determined the sale was a scam.

Victoria Brooks reported at 3:36 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, an acquaintance took her white 2001 Chevrolet Impala from her residence in the 2200 block of Ruth Drive.

An employee at Munch N Pump at 900 W. Pine St. reported at 7:12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, a white 2011 Nissan Sentra had been abandoned on their parking lot. Efforts to contact the registered owner failed and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Jodan Cook, 26, of Oxly was arrested at 10:07 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Oak Grove Road. Cook was booked on a charge of DWI (alcohol) and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Thomasina Dunning reported at 10:18 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, her husband assaulted her earlier in the evening. The assault took place at a different location.

An employee at Domino’s Pizza reported at 10:12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, a delivery bag with an order in it was stolen from his vehicle in the 900 block of Jefferson Street.

Kenneth Hall, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, during a traffic stop on South Westwood Boulevard. Hall was booked on Butler County warrants for invasion of privacy and traffic violations and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Sean Burney reported at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, his cell phone was stolen by a black male on the parking lot at First United Methodist Church at 500 N. Main St. Burney said he was selling the phone on Facebook, and the suspect claimed to be interested in buying it. The suspect took the phone, flourished a pistol, and left with the phone.

Fabio Barrera reported at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, the window of his car was broken while it was parked at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at 3100 Oak Grove Road. A bag was stolen from the front seat of the vehicle.

Preston was booked on a charge of property damage and lodged in the Butler County jail.

An adult female reported at 12:14 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, her boyfriend assaulted her and chased her from a residence in the area of North Ninth Street. The victim refused to cooperate with the investigation and taken to a family member’s residence.
