Butler County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two people, one a juvenile, after a drive-by shooting in Qulin Thursday evening.
Colby Thompkins, 18, of Qulin was arrested on suspicion of armed criminal action, assault and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held without bond at the Butler County jail. The second person arrested was a juvenile.
A statement from BCSD said deputies responded to a location on Highway 53 after one person was wounded in a drive-by shooting. The victim was reportedly hit by a shotgun.
“The shooting stemmed from an earlier altercation at the residence. Someone from inside the home returned fire, striking one of the suspects,” the BCSD statement continued.
Deputies expected further arrests would be made as of Friday afternoon, Oct. 27.
