A black 2017 Chrysler passenger vehicle was towed from the scene of a traffic stop on Gardner Street at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, after it was determined it was not insured. Driver Kendra Harding, 36, of Poplar Bluff was issued traffic citations for no registration and no insurance and she was released at the scene.

An adult female reported at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a person she met through a dating app posted private sexual images of her on social media after she refused to pay them not to.

Municipal Utilities reported at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a light pole in the 700 block of South Westwood Boulevard was struck by construction equipment.

Kierra Johnson reported at 2:34 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, she was assaulted by a resident she cared for at a TJ Swift Residential Care facility in the 900 block of Butler Street.

The National Instant Background Check System (NICS) reported at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a firearm transfer at a licensed dealer was denied after they determined the customer had a pending criminal charge.

George Morgan, 40, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:22 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, on Cross Street. Morgan was booked in on a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation and lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Shelby Baker reported at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, she was assaulted by two adult females in the 800 block of Vine Street. One of her attackers stole her cell phone and destroyed it. Baker fled the scene and reported the attack at a safe location.

Fanci Griffith reported at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, her boyfriend left her at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 S. Broadway. Griffith’s purse and cell phone were in the car. The suspect was later contacted at Mike’s Resale at 1015 E. Harper St., and Griffith’s cell phone was recovered. Griffith later said a friend returned her purse.

An employee at Academy Sports at 3095 Oak Grove Road reported at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, a customer passed counterfeit $50 bills on two separate occasions. Management banned the suspect from the store.

Mindy Miller reported at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, her ex-boyfriend threw rocks and struck her in the head during an argument in front of her residence in the 500 block of Bartlett Street. The suspect left before the police were called.

Octavia White reported at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, her ex-boyfriend stole her car key during an argument in front of their residence in the 600 block of West Neat Street. The suspect denied taking the key.

A white 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was towed from a traffic stop on Barron Road at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, after it was determined the vehicle was not insured. Driver Tyler Sabatino, 23, of Harviell was issued a traffic citation for no insurance and he was released at the scene.

Carlee Eifert, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:33 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, during a traffic stop on South Fifth Street. Eifert was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Eifert was unable to post bond but was released on her own recognizance.

Vinetia Samel reported at 3:33 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, her boyfriend pushed her during an argument at their residence in the 800 block of Franklin Street. The suspect left before the police were called, and a criminal summons for domestic assault was mailed to him.

David Paukner reported at 4:16 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, a riding mower was stolen from the front porch of his residence in the 600 block of Arthur Street.
