Bobby Burkhart, 50, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at his residence in the 1800 block of Thomas Street. Burkhart was booked on a Butler County warrant for violation of a protection order and lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at Carter’s at 797 N. Westwood Blvd. reported at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, two black females stole clothing items and left the store in a black Dodge passenger vehicle with Arkansas plates. Officers saw the vehicle pulling out of a parking space and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle fled south on Westwood Boulevard and officers pursued the vehicle. The pursuit was terminated south of Poplar Bluff. Later, the Clay County, Arkansas sheriff’s department stopped the vehicle, arrested the suspects, and recovered merchandise stolen from Carter’s and from Marshall’s.

A white female was detained at 6:06 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, after she concealed merchandise from a store in her purse and left without paying for it. The stolen merchandise was recovered and the suspect was released pending review by the prosecuting attorney.

An employee at Rhodes 101 at 3111 Oak Grove Road reported at 6:56 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, a white male stole a full display box of candy valued at $86 from the store and fled the scene before the police were notified. The suspect was identified from surveillance video footage and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Freddie Politte reported at 10:01 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, someone damaged windows and household items inside his residence in the 1300 block of Winnie Street while he was away.

Officers responded at 10:13 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, to the 1900 block of Iowa Avenue for a report of multiple gunshots in the area. Damage to vehicles parked at two addresses in the 1900 block of Kentucky Avenue was later reported.

Jeremy Fowler reported at 11:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, a Great Dane was missing from his residence in the 1800 block of Zehm Avenue.

Justice Armstrong, 25, of Kennett was arrested at 11:26 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, during a traffic stop on Highway 53. Armstrong was booked on a Carter County warrant for failure to appear on traffic and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Triston Campbell reported at 4:17 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, he was assaulted by an adult male acquaintance while they were at a gathering on the Black River Coliseum parking lot at 301 S. 5th St.

David Kingston reported at 9:47 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, someone stole appliances from his rental property in the 400 block of East Henry Street. He also complained that drywall, an A/C unit, and a gate were damaged.

Michael Whitehead reported at 2:39 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, someone stole a pistol, camera, and motorcycle from his residence in the 1700 block of Maud Street.

Clinton Lewis and Romero Slavings reported at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, three males in a dark colored SUV shot them with airsoft and paintball guns while they were at Bacon Park on Harper Street. The suspect vehicle left the area after the incident.

Officers responded at 7:43 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, to the parking lot at Menard’s for a report the occupants of a black Ford Escape shot at a gathering. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped, and the suspects were taken into custody. Two pistols, including one reported stolen in August, were seized from the vehicle. Lamarius Shaw-Thomas, 18, of Poplar Bluff was booked on a charge of stealing a firearm and lodged in the Butler County jail. The juvenile suspects were released into custody of their guardians.

Angela Watson, 58, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at her residence in the 900 block of Lester Street. Watson was booked on stealing charges and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jesse Gordon reported at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, he was assaulted by an adult male acquaintance in his apartment at 1028 Kinzer St. Gordon refused to press charges.

Kaidence Colove, 19, of Puxico was arrested at 1:35 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at a residence in the 1000 block of West Harper Street. Colove was booked on a charge of third-degree assault and lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at The Villa at 818 Highway 53 reported at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, a white male stole soft drinks from the store. When the employee confronted the suspect outside, the suspect flourished a knife. The theft was captured on surveillance video and the suspect was identified.

Kimberly Davis, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at her residence in the 1700 block of Garfield Street. Davis was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a code violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jason Banks, 49, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, during a traffic stop on South Fifth Street. Banks was booked on a Dunklin County warrant for probation violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Katie Hensley, 36, of Bernie was arrested at 10:14 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, during a traffic stop on North Westwood Boulevard. Hensley was booked on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Ralph Sullivan, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, on South Fifth Street. Sullivan was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on assault and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A white Chevrolet truck was impounded and towed at 11:17 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, from a traffic stop after it was determined the vehicle had no insurance and the driver’s license was revoked. Aaron Atkisson, 23, of Poplar Bluff was issued traffic citations and released at the scene.
