The Ozark Heritage Festival in Piedmont and more fall events headline this week’s MAIN EVENT. The 46th annual edition of the festival will feature a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday on Main Street with a theme of celebrating 75 years of Clearwater Lake. The festival also will feature a car show, plus approximately 100 craft vendors and 18 food vendors. Other events include a carnival, a petting zoo, plus pony rides and camel rides...

The Ozark Heritage Festival in Piedmont and more fall events headline this week’s MAIN EVENT.

The 46th annual edition of the festival will feature a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday on Main Street with a theme of celebrating 75 years of Clearwater Lake. The festival also will feature a car show, plus approximately 100 craft vendors and 18 food vendors. Other events include a carnival, a petting zoo, plus pony rides and camel rides.

Also going on this weekend is the second Saturday of the Greenville Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee from 5-7 p.m. at the Greenville Recreation Area. This free family-oriented event is for kids of all ages. Creative campers decorate their campsites and generously welcome trick-or-treaters into the campground.

Another event Friday is Mammos & Mocktails: Sip, Scan & Stay Healthy at the Holiday Inn Ballroom from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is presenting this event, which will shine a light on breast cancer awareness. Expert panelists will speak during an open forum, take questions and even schedule mammograms. Pink out bags will be available while supplies last and lunch will be provided by Tasteful Creations.

— Pumpkin Hollow, now through Oct. 31 WHERE 671 County Road 336, Piggott, Arkansas. COST $12, children 1 and under free. WHAT Featuring a pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides, apple cannon, mega slide, zipline and more, hours are open 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday, plus additional hours Friday night for Horror in the Hollow.

— Tornado of 1927 Walking Tour, 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 21 WHERE Leaves from 303 Moran St., at the large parking lot in front of the Black River Coliseum. Walk is approximately 1 mile long. COST Free WHAT This tour will follow the path of the 1927 Tornado that destroyed a large portion of Downtown Poplar Bluff. You will learn about the lives lost as well as how the tornado would forever change the city of Poplar Bluff.

— Riverfront Fall Festival, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 21 WHERE Kellerman Foundation Parking Lot, Water Street, Themis Street and Riverfront Park in Cape Girardeau WHAT Features a collection of artisan vendors from around the Southeast Missouri area, food vendors and kids’ activities. — HERD movie premiere and festival, 2 p.m. Oct. 21 WHERE Rodgers Theatre. COST Festival is free, movie is $25. WHAT Come to the Historic Rodgers Theatre to celebrate the premiere of HERD, which features many scenes filmed here in Poplar Bluff. The movie premieres at 6:30 p.m., but the festival begins at 2 p.m. and features live music, food trucks, vendors and more. There also will be a red carpet premiere at 5 p.m.

— Greenville Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 21 and 28 WHERE Greenville Recreation Area COST Free. WHAT An exciting event for kids of all ages. Join area businesses, groups, agencies along with other ghosts and goblins during this fall family-oriented event. Contact the Wappapello Lake Area Association to set up a booth or activity help make the event even better. Creative campers decorate their campsites and generously welcome trick-or-treaters into the campground.

— Fall crafting, 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 WHERE Poplar Bluff Municipal Library main branch COST Free WHAT Crafters can make mason jar lanterns and glitter potion bottles. Supplies provided.

— Bou-Tiques and Fleas, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 28. WHERE Black River Coliseum, 301 S. 5th St. COST Free. WHAT Come to the Black River Coliseum for a fun-filled day of shopping local vendors! Boutiques, crafters specialty foods, door prizes, food trucks, concessions and much more!

— Haunting in the Park, 4-9 p.m. Oct. 28 WHERE Sam A. Baker State Park Cost Free WHAT Multiple events, 4-6 p.m. Trunk or Treat; 5-8 p.m. games and goodies at Mudlick Mountain Grill, with campfire s’mores; and 6-8 p.m. haunted hike. Got to visitor center for additional information.

— Cemetery walking tour, 3-4:15 p.m. or 5-6:15 p.m. Oct. 28 WHERE Leaves from the Poplar Bluff City Cementer maintenance shed at Gray and Main streets. COST Free WHAT This tour will take place in the Poplar Bluff and Woodlawn Cemeteries. You will learn about the lives of people who have had a huge impact on the history of Poplar Bluff. It is approximately 1 mile long.

— The Camp Spooktacular, 1 p.m. to evening WHERE The Camp at Lake Wappapello COST Free WHAT Daytime events will be from 1-5 p.m. with mini golf and bounce houses, trick or treating at 5 p.m.

— Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 28. WHERE Three Rivers College. COST Free. WHAT Free candy, games and fun hosted by the TRC Student Leadership Academy. Organizations who would like to participate should email mryan.anderson@trcc.edu.

— Halloween Trunk or Treat, 5-8 p.m. Oct. 28. WHERE Clearwater Lake River Road Park, Piedmont. COST Free. WHAT In addition to lots of candy, there also will be a campsite decoration contest.

— Fall Carnival Festival, 3-6 p.m. Oct. 29. WHERE Black River General Baptist Church, 9606 Highway AA, Broseley. COST Free. WHAT Attractions include face painting, trunk or treat, bounce house, prizes, music, karaoke and more.

— Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 29 WHERE First Church of God, 3842 S. Westwood Blvd. COST Free. WHAT Come out for candy, games and some hot chocolate or cider..

— Trunk or Treat, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29 WHERE First Baptist Church, 551 N. Westwood Blvd. COST Free. WHAT Dress up in your best costume and come join the fun at FBC. Come get candy as you pass by all of the amazingly decorated trunks.

— Haunted Illusions, 7 p.m. Oct. 30 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center. COST $15. WHAT Celebrate Halloween with an incredible night of magic, tricks, and treats featuring one of the top touring illusionists in the country.

— Monster Bash Trunk or Treat, noon-4 p.m. Oct. 31 WHERE McLane Park. COST Free. WHAT Join Missouri Highlands Health Care and other community partners for the Monster Bash Trunk or Treat event. There will be games, candy, popcorn, and more.

— Puxico Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31 WHERE El Hawk St. and Veteran’s Park WHAT Local businesses and families will hand out treats.

— Greenville Fall Festival, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 WHERE Greenville City Park COST Free WHAT Food, prizes, games and bounce houses will be set up. Prizes will be awarded for best trunk or treat booth. Sponsored by the East Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and Greenville High School FCCLA.

— Annual BIG Book Sale, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 3 WHERE Poplar Bluff Municipal Library, 318 N. Main St. COST Free. WHAT Come find some great bargains at the library’s annual BIG book sale.

— Native American Storytelling, 6 p.m. Nov. 7 WHERE Poplar Bluff Municipal Library main branch COST Free WHAT Suzanne Michelle Jones will share traditional stories told by Choctaw, Cherokee and Delaware nations.
