Share memories of the Rodgers to win tickets to 'Herd' Poplar Bluff premiere

The Daily American Republic is partnering with the filmmakers of “Herd,” and Rodgers Theatre to give away event tickets in October as part of a series, Remember the Rodgers.

A movie shot in Poplar Bluff, created by a Poplar Bluff native, will premiere Oct. 21 at Rodgers Theatre during a day-long celebration. The film "Herd" -- which will also be screened at the New York Comic Con in October -- is coming home and its creators want that homecoming to benefit the community...

To enter, participants just need to share their memories of the Rodgers. This can include stories and/or photos of their time at the historic Downtown Poplar Bluff theatre or what it has meant to them and the community.

Three sets of two tickets will be given away for the Oct. 21 premiere of “Herd” at the Rodgers Theatre. Each pair has a value of $50.

Tickets will also be given away for the Restore the Rodgers banquet, which will be held Oct. 19 at the Black River Coliseum. Additional details about this giveaway will be released at a later date.

Drawings for all tickets will be held at noon Oct. 16, live on the DAR Facebook page.

Memories and history of the Rodgers will be shared in the DAR print edition and digital platforms between now and the drawings.
