Officers assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a motor vehicle pursuit at 9:39 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, which entered Poplar Bluff on the east side of town. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle ran into a ditch on Wiseman Drive, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

An officer reported at 10:36 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, a window of a code enforcement vehicle parked in the downtown area was damaged. A code enforcement officer responded to the scene and moved the vehicle.

Patricia Cody reported at 11:03 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, her juvenile daughter assaulted her and damaged household items at their residence in the 800 block of Hart Street. The matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Jasmine Decaire reported at 11:19 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, her ex-boyfriend refused to return a wallet with identity documents in it after she moved from their residence in the 1000 block of Kinzer Street.

Kyle Vancil reported at 1:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, his blue 2003 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from the parking lot at the Westwood Hills Country Club.

Officers responded at 3:02 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, to the 200 block of North Riverview for a report of a missing person. Roland Paisley said his girlfriend Debra Wright had been in the river, but he couldn’t find her. Poplar Bluff Fire Department and the Missouri State Water Patrol responded to the scene, but Wright was not located at that time.

Officers responded at 4:14 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, to 1113 N. Main St. for an anonymous report of a drug overdose. Officers found that two people were suffering from a drug overdose in two separate apartments. Both victims were taken by ambulance to the emergency room.

A white 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was impounded and towed at 8:44 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, from a traffic stop on Midland Street after it was determined the vehicle was not insured and the driver had no operator’s license. The driver was released at the scene and tickets were mailed to their residence.

Brian Cannon reported at 10:09 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, a rock was thrown through the window of his residence in the 900 block of Gardner Street.

A white male adult was detained at 9:52 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, after he hid merchandise on his person and left the store without paying for it. The suspect was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor for review.
