An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported Friday, Sept. 1, a student posted a document online which listed four students they wished harm. No specific threat of violence was made toward the students or the school. The matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Kevin Busby, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, during a traffic stop on North Westwood Boulevard. Busby was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic and drug offenses. Busby was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Wayne Rodrigues, 48, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:01 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Probation and Parole Community Supervision Center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road. Rodrigues was booked on a Probation and Parole detainer and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Adam Brasher, 45, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 4:23 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense and released on bond.

Tabitha Hackle reported at 7:23 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, she left $40 in change at the register when she checked out at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Video footage captured a white male and white female taking the cash from the register.

Tristan LaBarre, 18, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:31 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, during a traffic stop on Wiseman Drive. LaBarre was booked on a Dunklin County warrant for probation violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Steven Swindell, 50, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at his residence in the 700 block of Cedar Street. Swindwell was booked on a Butler County warrant for stealing and an Arkansas Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Julionna DeClue, 23, of Doniphan was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. DeClue was booked on a charge of stealing and released pending review by the prosecutor.

Officers responded at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, to a residence in the 600 block of Park Street for a report of a drug overdose. A resident administered Narcan and the victim recovered consciousness before officers arrived. The victim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment.

Stacey Westfall reported at 11:04 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, her boyfriend harassed her and threw a drink on her during a confrontation. The suspect left the scene before the police were called.

Officers responded at midnight Saturday, Sept. 2, to a report of an adult female suffering a mental health crisis in the 800 block of Cynthia Street. The victim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for evaluation.

Daniel Nelson, 56, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:07 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, in the 1900 block of Wilson Street. Nelson was booked on a Stoddard County warrant for probation violation and released on his own recognizance.

A juvenile female reported at 1:37 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, she was assaulted at her residence by her boyfriend. The suspect left the scene before the police were notified, and efforts to locate him failed. The matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Officers responded at 2:54 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, to C&F Auto Sales at 1401 Highway 53 for a report of an adult male going through vehicles on the lot. The business owner responded to the scene and banned the suspect from the property.

Randy LaPlant reported at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, his car was struck by another vehicle in the intersection of North Westwood Boulevard and Lucy Lee Parkway. The occupants of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot. The passenger from the suspect vehicle returned to the scene and was transported to the emergency room for treatment of a head injury. At the time of this report the suspect driver had not been identified.

Jennifer Bailey, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at a residence in the 700 block of Poplar Street. Bailey was booked on a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A silver 2008 Chevrolet pickup was found abandoned at 6:42 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, in a ditch on Ashcroft Road. Efforts to locate the driver failed and it was impounded and towed from the scene at the request of the property owner.

Bryant Jenkins reported at 7:07 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, he was slapped in his face by an adult male during a confrontation at Casey’s General Store at 1995 S. Broadway. Jenkins did not want to press charges.

Robert Brown, 46, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, during a traffic stop on Vine Street. Brown was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on stealing, trespass, and a traffic offense; a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation; a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on traffic offenses; and additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Elizabeth Powell reported at 9:12 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, an adult female acquaintance trespassed on her property in the 200 block of Abington Street. The suspect left before officer arrival.

Officers responded at 2:11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, to the emergency room at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for a report that a patient’s family member physically assaulted a receptionist and threatened to drive a motor vehicle into the building. The suspect was arrested nearby, but was released when hospital staff declined to press charges.

Officers responded at 9:21 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Valley Street and Grand Avenue. An adult male riding a moped reportedly ran into a ditch. The driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of injuries from the accident.

Officers responded at 11:41 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, to a residence in the 1600 block of Cross Street for a report that a young child had come to the residence unaccompanied. Officers recognized the child and contacted a parent to respond and take custody.
