A silver 2007 Chevrolet Impala was towed at 7:58 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, from a traffic stop on North Main Street. The driver was released at the scene.

Joshua Bardell was arrested at 8:08 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, near his residence in the 800 block of Lester Street. Bardell was booked on charges of third-degree domestic assault, second-degree property damage and stealing. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Kimberly Deaner, 64, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Probation and Parole Community Supervision Center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road. Deaner was booked on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on stealing and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Lester Tinker, 62, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:01 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at his residence in the 2000 block of Schweitzer Drive. Tinker was booked on a charge of violation of an order of protection and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A stolen cell phone was turned in at 12:48 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the front desk of the police department. The owner was contacted and said the phone had been stolen while they shopped at Ollie’s Bargain Barn at 1391 N. Westwood Blvd. The theft was captured on video and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Danielle Young, 22, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:53 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health at 2620 N. Westwood Blvd. Young was booked on a charge of trespassing and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded to a residence at 3:52 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in the 1100 block of Fairmount Street for an animal abuse complaint. Neighbors reported dogs were left in a small kennel behind the residence without food or water. One dog had died and the other was in distress, according to the report. The surviving dog was impounded and taken to the animal control shelter.

Johnathan Phelps reported at 5:11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, his wallet and hygiene items were stolen from his car while it was parked at a residence in the 1900 block of Arkansas Street.

Michael Lady, 24, of Doniphan was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center emergency room. Lady was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Lady was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Colton Howell, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Broadway. Howell was booked on a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Andrew S. Thomas, 29, of Corning, Arkansas, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in Butler County on a Doniphan warrant for failure to appear for stealing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
