Three Rivers College has received a commitment from Southern Bank to endow a scholarship.
The Southern Bank Executive Scholarship will provide an annual award for a Three Rivers college student for perpetuity. These scholarships are awarded based on recommendations to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, who exhibit a financial need.
“We are grateful for the bank’s commitment to Three Rivers College students now and in the future,” Michelle Reynolds, executive director of the Three Rivers Endowment Trust, said in a press release. “These scholarships represent a long-term investment in our students.”
Added Southern Bank Market President Mel Jackson, “Southern Bank is committed to investing in future generations, and we’re pleased to sponsor this scholarship to assist individuals in our community as they work to pursue their dreams and goals. We look forward to the contributions these students will make to our communities over many years as a result of this investment.”
Three Rivers students receive more than $13 million in financial aid each year, and all students are automatically considered for more than 280 scholarships by completing the application for admission and submitting their FAFSA. For more information, trcc.edu/pay-for-college/financial-aid/.
