At an unspecified time, an employee at the Poplar Bluff Municipal Airport reported on Wednesday, June 28, a white female adult entered the building after hours and stole cash and personal items. The matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

Jared Kennedy, 42, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Wal-Mart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Kennedy was booked on a Butler County warrant for assault and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Three juveniles were detained at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, after shoplifting. They were released to their parents at the scene.

An employee at Happy Mart at 1800 South Broadway reported at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, a white male wearing a mask stole a donation jar from the counter and tried to run out the front door. The employees were able to take the jar back from the suspect before he fled the scene. One of the employees was injured during the confrontation and she was taken by ambulance to the emergency room.
